Outstanding breakfast options at incredibly low prices. I had the German sausage breakfast which was unique and very tasty. The pancakes are always yummy with crispy edges. The cooks always do an outstanding job. And the wait staff is always attentive and helpful. When I travel through Ft. Morgan I try to remember to stop at the Home Plate it is a great restaurant.

This is a nice, quiet family type restaurant with a nice menu, and they serve breakfast all day. We both had a standard breakfast and it was all very well prepared, and the biscuits and gravy were really good also. Others in our party had the pie which looked really good.

Was in town for a football scrimmage and needed some lunch. It's a seat yourself place and there was a good amount of seating. Our waitress greeted us and took our drink order, took all of 2mins of that to have them back at our table. My son ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with no garnish and fries and I had the patty melt (see pic) with extra onions and cheese and fries. It came out as quick as we ordered it and it was HOT!! It was delicious and our waitress was great! Next time the rest of my family is up here I will definitely be stopping again. By the way this location is along hwy 34, I will mention to them they need to update the address in here. Enjoy!!

Please note that Home Plate #1 moved to East Platte (US-34) several years ago. Their former location at 414 E. Railroad Ave has hosted a series of other small restaurants that have often been good, but simply unable to survive. As for Home Plate itself, I like the menu, which is diner-like, with an emphasis on Mexican-American offerings. Taste and preparation are generally good. Service has been variable on our several visits; errors are too common, and it's sometimes unreasonably slow. Home Plate #2 in Brush is more consistently good.

This place missed the mark. Though friendly and doing his best, our waiter was overwhelmed waiting on ten tables at once. My beef vegtable soup was served hot (as opposed to warm like many restaurants) which was the end of the good things to say about the meal itself. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, which arrived with a big hunk of brown lettuce underneath the greens on top. They do not offer a lo cal dressing...do all salad eaters like a high fat dressing with their salad? Hmmm..This was also the first time I have been served wraqpped crackers with my salad....perhaps they were out of croutons?? I guess I will never know. My dining partners tacos were filled about halfway up the shell...a disappointment on his behalf. Essentially, there are other dining options in town that are much better.
